Seismic Refraction Surveys

Seismic refraction surveys can be used for mining investigations, rippability surveys, and foundation studies, and can be used at hazardous waste sites. Our seismic field crew can set up the seismic refraction survey equipment quickly and start obtaining subsurface information immediately. The seismic refraction survey crew can provide preliminary in field answers and can print preliminary cross sections.

Our company uses the GeoMetrics SmartSeis seismograph for its seismic refraction surveys. The SmartSeis is a high resolution, fully automatic seismograph.

Some typical uses for a seismic refraction survey include:

Ground Penetrating Radar Surveys

We can also conduct GPR surveys to investigate the subsurface soils and rock. GPR surveys are fast and cost efficient.
